In 1966 Ford launched its new Cortina Mk II. As with the original Cortina Mk I (1962-1966) the new Cortina range
included standard, Super and GT variants along with a choice of engine and transmission types. The Cortina Mk II
featured a new bodyshell which had angular lines and a full width grille. The 1600E was a particularly sought after car,
combining the lowered Lotus Cortina's suspension with the high tune GT 1600 Kent engine and luxury trim featuring wood dash
and door cappings, bucket seating, sports steering wheel and full instrumentation inside, while a black grille, tail panel,
front fog lights, and plated Rostyle wheels featured outside. This car has period 'minilite' sports wheels and really looks the part.
